1. My name is Shirley. I was named after Shirley Temple.
2. I was born in February, 1945 in South Bend, IN.
3. My first full name is Shirleyanne with my middle name being Rose. I just go by Shirley and use Anne as my middle name.
4. I am first generation American on my dad's side of the family and second generation on my mother's side.
5. My ancestor's were Hungarian gypsies.
6. I had one sister who was nine years older than me.
7. My favorite doll when I was little, was an I Love Lucy baby doll. (BTW, I still have it)
8. I love ballets. In fact, that is one of my unfulled dreams....to be a ballerina.
9. The music playing, is one of my all time favorites.....Layla Unplugged by Eric Clapton.
10. Purple is my favorite color. I have always had my bedroom painted lavender and green.
11. I was married in 1968, divorced in 1989.
12. I never remarried.
13. I have one daughter named Julie and one son named Darrin.
14. I have three beautiful grandchildren: Gabrielle, Dominic and Alexandria (we call her Lexi)
15. I am a chocoholic. I can drink Hershey's chocolate syrup out of the can.
16. I love watching old westerns on the TV....Gunsmoke, Bonanza etc.
17. My favorite movie is "Somewhere In Time".
18. I love jazz and blues music.
19. I used to play the violin. I took lessons for ten years.
20. I love to read, anything and everything. My house looks like a library....books all over.
21. I ADORE cats and collect cat salt and pepper shakers. They are all over my house too.
22. I once played with an eight week old lion cub named Caesar. I still visit him at our local zoo.
23. My favorite hobby is scrapbooking. I am currently working on five albums. One each for my two granddaughters, one for my grandson, and heritage albums for my two chidren.
24. My second favorite hobby is cross stitching.
25. I love Lake Michigan and go up there every chance I get, summer and winter. (I live 40 minutes away)
26. I am proud to be a Roman Catholic. My faith and Jesus are the most important elements in my life.
27. I teach religion classes to people who are to be baptized and/or to be received into full communion in the Catholic faith.
28. I also study the Bible.
29. I volunteer once a week at our local homeless shelter to serve dinner. Women from my parish cook dinner for the people living at the shelter.
30. My favorite play is Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Cats". I have seen it six times.
31. My second favorite play is Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Phantom of the Opera".
32. My favorite vacation ever, was spending eight days in the Shenandoah Valley and visiting the battlefield at Gettysburg.
33. I am a Civil War enthusiast, especially the Battle of Gettsburg.
34. I love the outdoors and walking in the woods.
35. My favorite food is Swiss Steak.
36. My favorite cartoon is Garfield.
37. My favorite television channel is the History channel.
38. My favorite flowers are lilacs.
39. A close second are daisies.
40. I hated school when I was young. Now, I wish I had more time to learn.
41. I tend to be a daydreamer.
42. When people first meet me, they think I'm somewhat snobbish because I tend to be very quiet during the conversation.
43. I think of myself as a private person. There is only one chosen person who REALLY knows my inner being.
44. Conflict and confrontations upset me.
45. I am an incurable romantic.
46. I have little tolerance for gossip.
47. I am a force to be reckoned with if I hear that a loved one has been wronged.
48. I try not to make quick judgments. I know there are two sides to every story.
49. My family and close friends know if they ask for my opinion, they will get a honest answer.

58. My favorite clothes to wear are bluejeans or shorts and a T-shirt.
59. I feel uncomfortable when I have to "dress up".
60. I hate shoes. I go barefoot every chance I get.
61. I have always wanted to jump from a plane (with a parachute, of course) but, am too chicken to try.
62. I love playing on the computer and the message groups I belong to.
63. I love playing computer games, especially The Sims.
64. I enjoy meeting a friend at a coffee shop.

68. I love burning candles. I always have one going at home and at work.

79. TV Favorites: My favorite soap is The Young and the Restless. I have seen every episode since its inception in 1973. My favorite program is Survivor.

81. I spend hours in Barnes & Noble bookstore.
82. My favorite summer snack is cantalope.
83. If I had a dog, it would be an Irish Setter.
84. I wish I could carry a tune.
85. Aside from cats, my other favorite animal is the elephant.

87. I was a Camp Fire leader for ten years.

89. I'm a very light sleeper. I always have a fan going to drown out any other sounds. It also has to be dark. If I see light, from anywhere or anything, I cannot sleep.

91. I wish I had some curl in my hair. It is totally straight and has no body.
92. I hate flash ads on the computer.....they are so annoying and hurt my eyes.

94. I hate milk. When I was little, I would walk to my babysitter's house, who happened to be an elderly lady, and she always made me drink a glass of warm milk.
95. Back in the 60s I dressed like a Beatnik.
96. The longest my hair has ever been was down to my knees.
97. I got my first short haircut when I was 53 years old.
98. I am Pro-Life.
99. I love spending a Sunday afternoon in flea markets and antique shops.
