As my two children were growing up, we always had cats as pets. When they moved into their own homes, the first thing they did was to pay a visit to the local pet shelter and adopt their own furrbabies.

My daughter adopted this beautiful white kitten and named her "Chloe". Chloe is now between 6-7 years old.

When my son moved into his new house, he adopted two kittens. One is pure black and is named "Coal". The second one is a gorgeous black and gray tabby named "Theo". Soon after Coal and Theo were adopted, he decided they needed company, so back to the shelter he went and brought home a kitten with calico markings. She is named "Callie".

All these cats are soooo spoiled. When I go to my daughters house, Chloe waits by the door for me because I have to give her a backrub before I even say hello to my grandchildren lol. Coal WILL NOT drink from a bowl, he drinks his water from the faucet so everytime he wants a drink, he will sit in front of you and meow till you get up to turn on the water. Theo is kind of shy, but when he wants affection, you'd better give it to him otherwise he will bug you to death. Callie is just a sweet little kitty and all she wants to do is cuddle, which is fine with me.

UPDATE-Summer 2004

Well, my son and daughter-in-law just accepted another kitty into their household. Her name is Macy and she was given to them by a couple who was moving out of town and did not want to take Macy with them. That's OK...just more for me to love. LOL

UPDATE-NOVEMBER, 2005

Well, you'll never guess.....Darrin and Jen have another kitty. This one is kind of my fault. The kitty was running around their neighborhood looking scared and lost. When I called to her, she made a b-line to me and practically jumped into my arms. She must have some Manx in her since she has no tail. After combing the neighborhood looking for her owner we gave up and Darrin & Jen said they would put an ad in the newspaper for her. Well, after five days, no one claimed her so now I guess she is a permanent member of Darrin & Jen's family. Sasha is such a sweet kitty and a big cuddlebug and she has definitely won my heart.
