You're at the mall with your kids shopping for this and that and you pass a pet store. One of your kids shouts, "Mommy, Mommy, come look at these cute little doggies". You walk over and see some puppies huddled in a corner of a glass cage. They're cuddled so close together you can't see how many there are. Some are sleeping, some are looking out at you with lifeless eyes. There are some other kids banging on the window trying to tease these precious little furrbabies. You start feeling sorry for them and feel a little bit of pain for them. You wish you could buy them all and take them home and give the love and care they need.

PUPPY MILLS

What is a puppy mill? Many of you have probably not even heard the term, "PUPPY MILL". Where did these cute little things come from? They came from a "PUPPY MILL". It is a place that is a living hell for creatures of God. The mother of these cute puppies is probably sick, starving and exhausted. Her toenails are never clipped, so they curl over her paws. She's filthy, never bathed, never brushed. She lives in a cage that is stacked under and above her. She has no shelter from the elements and will never be adopted or loved. She is alone. The only world she knows and will ever know is abuse and neglect.

THIS IS A PUPPY MILL

Her babies are taken from her at 5 or 6 weeks, shoved into a cage, placed on a truck.They are to young to eat dog food and miss their mother. They are probably sick or have some type of defect. They are being sold to a pet store for a profit. These are the cute little puppies you see in the window at the mall.

A puppy mill is a place that sells little dogs for profit. The health of the dog doesn't matter. Their only concern is the profit. If you bought one of these puppies you would be supporting these monsters and contributing to the cruelty of these poor animals.

Now you know what a puppy mill is. It may make you stop and think before you purchase from a pet store. Shelters are over run with animals waiting to be adopted. Many are destroyed because the animals far outweigh the number of people in for a companion. Many of these cats and dogs are purebreds and puppies. Please, if you decide you want a companion, go to your local shelter and adopt a dog or kitty from them.
